Mr. Bipin Kumar Gautam is Director and Managing Partner (Structural Engineering) at Resilient Structures Private Limited. He was also involved as a working committee member in the revision of NBC 105: Seismic Design of Buildings in Nepal. Previously, he has worked at National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) as structural engineer and Advanced College of Engineering and Management as a Lecturer. He obtained M. Sc. in Structural Engineering (Gold Medalist) from Pulchowk Campus, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University (2012). He has been involved in structural design, seismic vulnerability assessment and retrofit design of numerous buildings including school, hospital, office, residential, hotel and commercial complexes. Seismic vulnerability assessment and retrofit design of Historic Building, Kaiser Mahal is one of the most important project in which he has worked as a lead structural engineer. He is also actively involved in delivering trainings to engineers, sub-engineers, architects and masons on aspects of earthquake resistant design of buildings.
